The Clipper Café and holiday apartments are ideally located right on the waterside in the beautiful village of Shaldon. The Clipper is a family run business with an amazing team who work to provide the best experience possible for all of our guests. We are open all year round and welcome locals and visitors alike. Our fully licensed café is open from 8am in the morning until bedtime and is dedicated to using as much produce as possible from our own
farm, just up the road in the rolling hills of Stokeinteignhead.
Shaldon was originally settled on the south side of the Teign Estuary as a traditional fishing village. The tall red sandstone cliffs of Labrador Bay, give way to a narrow estuary entrance between Teignmouth and Shaldon. The twice-daily tide filling the Salty provides an ever-changing vista from the Tors of Dartmoor to Portland Bill across Lyme Bay.

Back by popular demand. Our massive festive afternoon tea is coming back. £24 per person with a hot drink or upgrade to a bit of 'festive' fizz for just £5. Minimum of 2 people per booking. Bookings open 12th October
Book your Christmas get together with us at The Clipper. Bookings taken from Monday 12th October. Our festive set menu will be running from Thursday 19th November all the way until 23rd December. £10 per person deposit, which is fully redeemable off your bill on the day. Pre orders for all guests will be needed 1 week before your booking. Anyone that books there Christmas Party before 1st November will get a complimentary glass of fizz per person.
Halloween Party ... Pumpkin Carving, Craft Making, Spooky Fancy Dress . Tickets are £5 per child. Available from inside the cafe or online from start of October
