Built in the late 1920's and early 1930's, the beautiful gardens were devised by Maria Kempe Homeyard
The Gardens belong to Teignbridge District Council and are open to the public free of charge 7 days a week. The location is above the main seaside village of Shaldon in Devon on a sloping hillside and enjoys stunning views of Teignmouth across the river, Lyme Bay and the East Devon and Dorset coastline to the north east. Features such as the castle folly , pond and rill garden, and the Italianate Garden along with the memorial garden to the Burma Star nurses and the “witches cave “ make the Gardens an interesting place to explore.
This small zoo is set in an acre of woodland garden above the attractive coastal village of Shaldon.
It's half term week! We're bringing our Live Music Bingo night midweek and an earlier start from 6pm so the whole family can attend! Children under 15 play for free with a paying adult. Fun for all the family
Join us for your Valentines Meal, lovely food in a beautiful setting.
Friday 27th February, we're holding a 'Fisherman's Supper' with live entertainment from "All Hands On Deck" sea shanty crew. Raising money from the RNLI. It will be an evening of great food and singing a mix of traditional & modern sea shanties. Fancy dress is encouraged but not necessary. From 6pm
